Hess Supports NDSU Students in the Bakken

Hess is proud to sponsor this year’s Bison to the Bakken summer program, which gave 37 North Dakota State University (NDSU) students a firsthand look at the state’s energy industry. As part of the 12-day, for-credit course, students toured the Bakken region in western North Dakota, connected with top employers and explored career pathways in agriculture, business, engineering and other fields.

Highlights included a Follow the Barrel tour of our operations in Tioga, along with a panel discussion where our team shared insights into innovation and careers in energy. Each student received a scholarship for summer tuition and gained valuable experience across the oil and gas industry.

Hess Supports Tree Planting in Minot

As part of our $25,000 commitment to the 2,000 Trees for Minot initiative (formerly known as 1,000 Trees), Hess volunteers and our Job Experience Training (JET) interns participated in a local tree planting event at Green Valley Park in Minot, North Dakota, in partnership with the Minot Forestry Department and 2,000 Trees.

While most of the 76 trees supported by our donation will be planted in spring 2026 across public parks, boulevards and downtown areas, we were proud to get an early start on this meaningful effort.

Thank you to Vanessa Amon and Sidnee Foy for leading our JET interns. Each tree planted reflects our continued commitment to the communities where we operate.

Hess Volunteers Distribute Books to Students

As part of Hess’ Learning for Life program, Hess provides children access to new books through the Barbara Bush Houston Literacy Foundation My Home Library program. Hess Force volunteers recently distributed new books and read to students at Carrillo Elementary and Peck Elementary, two of 13 elementary schools supported by Hess in the Second and Third Ward neighborhoods of Houston. Since 2017, Hess has provided books for more than 16,500 children in underserved Houston communities.

Hess Supports North Dakota FFA

As the presenting sponsor of the 96th annual North Dakota Future Farmers of America (FFA) Convention in Fargo, Hess contributed $25,000 — the largest single-event sponsorship in the foundation’s history — to help advance agricultural education and leadership across the state. This sponsorship highlights our ongoing commitment to land stewardship and youth development in North Dakota.

Through our partnership with the National FFA Organization and the North Dakota FFA Foundation, we are proud to offer annual scholarships to high school seniors involved in FFA and 4-H who are pursuing careers related to the oil and gas industry.

Hess Case Study Featured in Ipieca Report

A case study on Guyana’s national healthcare initiative — a collaboration by the Government of Guyana, Mount Sinai Health System and Hess — is featured in the newly released Ipieca Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Roadmap progress report for 2025.

Published annually, the roadmap, led by Ipieca in collaboration with the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), highlights how its members contribute to advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals across the oil and gas industry.

Hess recently announced a five-year extension of the national healthcare initiative launched in 2022 to transform Guyana’s public health system with world-class healthcare accessible to all citizens. Progress to date includes 35,000 child health screenings and a state-of-the-art pathology lab.

Hess Sponsors Citywide Cleanup Initiative in North Dakota

Hess was proud to sponsor and participate in the Minot Chamber EDC’s Citywide Cleanup initiative. This community-driven event brought together business teams and individuals to support the beautification of Minot, North Dakota. We are honored to support the Minot community and appreciate the opportunity to once again collaborate with Creedence Energy Services on this important effort, including providing cleanup supplies to volunteers.

Our efforts were led by dedicated members of the Hess Veterans (VETS) Employee Resource Group (ERG). Thank you to all of our volunteers for your participation and commitment—and to Creedence for graciously hosting a barbecue following the event in recognition of everyone’s hard work.

Hess Sponsors Bison to the Bakken Event

Hess is proud to be the chief sponsor of the Bison to the Bakken student event and tour organized by the North Dakota State University (NDSU) Foundation in Western North Dakota May 20-21. The event gives students an opportunity to explore western North Dakota’s energy sector, connect with top employers and discover internship and job opportunities.

As part of this educational experience students will take a Follow the Barrel Tour of Hess’ operations. Several members of our Hess team will participate in an industry panel as part of the two-week study program to share insights into careers and innovation in energy.

Team Hess Supports 2025 Bike MS: Texas MS 150

Team Hess is proud to have participated in the 2025 Bike MS: Texas MS 150, riding more than 150 miles from Houston to College Station in support of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. This year, our team raised over $155,000 to help fund critical research and support services for those living with multiple sclerosis.

Hess VETS ERG Support Horses for Heroes Program

Members of the Hess Veterans (VETS) Employee Resource Group (ERG) recently attended the Oilfield Connections International Salute and Sip reception during the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) in Houston to show their support for the veteran community. Hess was a proud sponsor of the event benefitting SoléAna Stables’ Horses for Heroes program, which provides equine-assisted services to veterans coping with trauma and PTSD.
