Hess is proud to sponsor the following upcoming events that reflect our longstanding commitment to education, inclusion and creating a positive, lasting impact in the communities where we operate.

The Alzheimer’s Association will hold its annual Vision Gala on May 2 in Washington D.C., honoring The American Petroleum Institute’s Executive Vice President Amanda Eversole.

As part of our partnership with the Texas Black Expo, members of our Black Employees and Allies Community and Network (BEACON) Employee Resource Group (ERG) will participate in a Corporate Awards Luncheon on May 2, which brings together top business executives, policymakers, and entrepreneurs to connect and recognize achievement.

Additionally, the Institute of Hispanic Culture of Houston's (IHCH) annual Viva the Gala on May 4 raises funds for the Institute's merit-based scholarship program to support the development and growth of Hispanic high school and college students. Members of our Hispanic Organization for Leadership and Advancement (HOLA!) ERG will participate.

Hess Sponsors Salute & Sip: A Benefit for Our Heroes

Hess is proud to support the Oilfield Connections International Salute and Sip reception on May 4 at the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) in Houston. Event proceeds support SoléAna Stables, a non-profit organization whose mission is to inspire positive change and empower those who serve through the healing power of horses. Members of our Hess Veterans (VETS) Employee Resource Group (ERG) will participate.

Hess Asia Sponsors Back-to-School Program

Hess Asia recently supported 180 students at SK Sabak, a primary school located in in Kelantan, Malaysia, through our Back-to-School Program. Each student received school uniforms, shoes and essential school supplies to help them begin the academic year with confidence. We also surprised each student with a Hess Toy Truck.

“We continue to strengthen our connection with the local community where we operate and invest in the next generation. We hope these contributions ease the burden on families and give students a stronger start to their schooling journey,” said Dato’ Zhiyong Zhao, Hess Vice President, Asia.

In collaboration with the Kelantan State Education Department, this initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting education and empowering the communities where we live and work.

Hess Recognizes Stop Food Waste Day

In recognition of Stop Food Waste Day, Hess honors the organizations, chefs and volunteers working to combat food waste and food insecurity in our communities. We are proud to continue to support our long-time partner Second Servings of Houston, whose efforts to rescue and redistribute food are making a meaningful impact. Recently, our Hess team supported a “Pop-Up Grocery Store” event, helping sort, organize and distribute rescued food to underserved families in our Hess neighborhood.

Hess Supports Bike MS 150 

Hess is a proud 20-year sponsor of Bike MS 150, the largest fundraising cycling event for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. On April 26–27, our Hess Force team will ride from Houston to College Station in support of groundbreaking MS research and critical support programs for those affected by multiple sclerosis.

Hess Connects with Students at STEM Event

Hess recently connected with students at a North Dakota Technology Student Association (NDTSA) event hosted at Bismarck State College. From mousetrap cars to video game design, over 150 students from across the state explored tech-driven challenges with a focus on creativity, collaboration and STEM.

Thank you to our volunteers who shared insights about careers in energy, while leading hands-on activities that sparked exciting conversations about the future. We are honored to support events that empower future leaders in STEM.

Hess Asia Sponsors “Love My School” Program

Hess Asia, in collaboration with @MyKasih Foundation, recently sponsored the “Love My School” program benefitting underserved schools and students in Kelantan, Malaysia. Over a 10-month period, the “Love My School” Cashless Bursary Program will assist 110 secondary students by providing each with cashless financial aid via smart cards to help ease their educational journey.

“The inclusion of new schools like SMK Sungai Petai allows us to widen our reach and positively impact more students across Kelantan. Education is the foundation for brighter futures, and we are proud to support that journey. We hope this assistance motivates students to stay focused and realize their potential,” said Dato’ Zhiyong Zhao, Hess Vice President, Asia.

Hess Hosts Students for Texas Black Expo

Hess was honored to host students from the Finance, Entrepreneurship & Wealth Development (F.E.W.) Program for Texas Black Expo at Hess Tower. Texas Black Expo has served as a pillar of empowerment in Texas since 2003, with a mission to assist startups, empower businesses and inspire youth in underserved communities. The F.E.W. Program equips youth with critical financial literacy, entrepreneurship principles and a solid understanding of financial statements through an accessible and engaging curriculum.

It was a privilege to support these future leaders and innovators in our Hess neighborhood as they explore pathways to economic empowerment and business success.

Hess Sponsors Annual Walk With Me Event

Hess is proud to be the stage sponsor for the 14th annual Walk With Me Family Fun Walk April 12 at the Houston Zoo. Our Hess Force volunteers, along with their families and friends, will participate in the walk to help raise awareness and support for Easter Seals of Greater Houston, which provides services for people of all ages with all types of disabilities. After the walk, our team and their families have access to the zoo and a variety of children’s activities, music, food and drinks.
