The Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) linked below are workplace safety tools designed to provide both workers and emergency personnel with the proper procedures for handling or working with a particular substance in a safe manner. We comply with all product and service labeling and health and safety impact requirements. Each of our products has a Safety Data Sheet (SDS) or Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) that provides information on chemical, physical and toxicological characteristics, safe handling and spill and emergency response measures.
The Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS) is an internationally agreed-upon system. The GHS was designed to replace all the diverse classification systems and present one universal standard which all countries should follow. Efforts are underway at Hess Corporation to conform to the new GHS standards. We have completed the required December 1, 2013 employee training on the new GHS label elements and safety data sheet (SDS) format. We have updated over 40 Hess Product MSDS’s to the new GHS SDS format and are on track to convert all remaining Hess Product MSDS’s by the first quarter of 2015.
