Answers for Interns

What advice would you give to fellow students looking for internships?

Internships are meant to be learning experiences, so don’t limit your search to just one industry.  Pay attention to the list of responsibilities and don’t focus so much on the company. A full portfolio and experience from a smaller company is far more impressive than minimal tasks from a more well-known one.
– Michelle, Corporate Communications, New York

Don’t choose a job based on how much you will get paid or how convenient the location is. Really think about what you enjoy doing in school and find a job that will cater to that while allowing you to grow and mature. It is intended to be a learning experience, so don’t choose something that you have no interest in.
– Andrew, Retail Operations, Woodbridge
